Main purpose of role:
Gamma is evolving its risk management practices, integrating all risk activity into a single framework, ensuring decision making is aligned with our risk appetite.
Key skills and responsibilities:
- Oversee the Risk Management team, ensuring they are engaged, supported and challenged within their role.
- Embedding the Risk and Control frameworks within the Group
- Be responsible for offering guidance and advice to Gamma teams. Where required you will support the business develop risk response plans.
- Have the autonomy to embed all risk measuring activities and you will be accountable for improving the quality of processes internationally up to Director level.
- Work with the business to identify control requirements and plan ways to improve weaknesses.
- Have an understanding of governance and control frameworks e.g. 3LOD, PCI, ISO, SOX and how they relate to internal control management
- Represent Gamma in external forums to learn and develop your function

- Ability to understand and analyse a wide set of problems and manage ambiguity faced by you and the team
- Supporting non risk employees understand risk and how it relates to their role and the wider business objectives
- Developing innovative and relevant risk management activities and controls to ensure Gamma is working within agreed tolerances
- Accepting or rejecting risk management plans and control management activities up to Director level
- Developing the Risk Team and ensuring they have relevant objectives, development and challenge
- Developing the framework management activities
- Managing and developing the Integrated Risk Management platform
- Developing the Risk Business Partner model within the team, ensuring all Business Units are supported.
- Represent the function at various business critical committee and forums to ensure risk is represented and considered
- Help build awareness of the risk management function, ensuring it is easy to do business with and acting as a respected centralised service for the Group.
- Risk reporting to various levels of the business up to Director level
- Be a positive reflection of how Risk can influence and improve business processes
- Drive a self starting mentality within the team
- Approval of Employee expenses up to £750 against Gamma policy
Key relationships:
- Act as senior liaison for all functions within Gamma with regards to risk
- Ensure Risk Managers are assigned an area of responsibility (acting as Business Partners)
- Support Audit and Governance understand which controls require inspection
- Supporting the Procurement Director regarding third party risk management activities.
- Ensure active participation with the wider security industry, nurturing relationships to share learning and best practice with each other.

Education/Qualifications
- None
- Bachelor's degree (or vocational equivalent)
- Certified Risk Professional
- Overseeing and maturing a risk framework
- Leading and developing a team of Risk Professionals
- Working within a technology driven organization
- Developing and delivering internal controls into an organization, including testing
- Telecommunications industry experience
- Riskonnect experience

- Control design and development
- Ability to set a department level strategy, aligning to the Directorate and Business strategy
- Stakeholder identification, assessment and effective management
