Description

We are seeking an individual to join our service-oriented team responsible for street cleansing and grounds maintenance as a Streets and Grounds Operative.

The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of Streets, Parks, Open Spaces, and Housing areas.

The key responsibility will involve cleaning communal bin areas in Norwich on a daily basis and promptly reporting any issues to the team leader.

This role requires adherence to set standards and a fixed schedule agreed upon with Norwich City Council to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the designated areas.

The main responsibilities of this role include the collection and proper disposal of waste at the local transfer station, assisting with manoeuvring tasks when necessary, visiting specified sites as per requirements, and completing all assigned tasks to maintain high-quality standards.

Additionally, the role involves driving various vehicles within the limits of a valid license, performing general street cleansing activities such as litter picking and bin emptying, and reporting any necessary proactive works across NCSL services.

It also includes basic care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles, ensuring pre-use checks are conducted, and all associated paperwork is completed accurately.

Salary:
£22,127.81 per year
