Fox Morris are working with London Borough of Hillingdon Council in relations to finding a Condition Surveyor (HHSRS) to start work ASAP


Responsibilities

  • As part of the London Borough of Hillingdon role in maintaining its general needs housing and sheltered accommodation that it either owns, the Council needs to hold accurate data on the condition this housing stock within its asset management database.
  • To assist with this stock condition surveys of the housing stock need to be carried out.
  • Ensuring that the data in asset management database is based on the actual condition will enable more reliable forecasting of the funding needed to ensure that Council owned dwellings are maintained to the required standard and will assist in the preparation of the planned works programme so that works are only carried out on the properties that need it.
  • The Stock Condition Surveyor will be required to gain access to properties to inspect them noting the condition of the various building components (roof, windows, kitchens and bathrooms etc).
  • In addition the Stock Condition Surveyor will be required to note any potential hazards as described in Housing Act 2004 Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHRS) that need to addressed (e.g. security issues, damp and mould growth, excess heat/cold and potential structural issues).
  • They must have a thorough knowledge of Decent Homes Standard and Housing health and safety rating system (HHSRS).
  • Being a certified EPC Assessor would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will be required to work Monday-Friday (9:00-5:00pm). This is based on a 6 month contract and the pay negotiable.

£167.11-£203.31 per day
