Summary:
Responsible for producing quality stone in accordance with work order specification and properly caring for equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive direction and work orders from Supervisor
- Verify that tools and equipment are in proper working condition
- Perform Start-Up/Shut Down routine of equipment
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment
- Setup machine to cut according to job specifications
- Cut product to specification
- Perform finishing processes as necessary
- Send finished product to be packaged
- Assist other large saw operators
- Complete all necessary reports and paperwork
- Data Entry
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Follow all Health & Safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Dependable
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift heavy loads
- Detail oriented
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments (i.e. hot, cold, wet, dusty)
- Able to stand for long periods of time Visit
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to read and use a tape measure
- Ability to read and write English
- Basic computer skills
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay:
£9.00-£13.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Licence/Certification:
- Driving License (preferred)
