About the role:
To work as an assistant helping the keyworkers and as part of the Early Years team under the direction of the Nursery Teachers.
- Help prepare and set out activities for the children.
- Be involved alongside the staff team to provide a wide range of play activities suitable for the age and ability of the children.
- Understand the emotional and physical needs of young children and with the other staff and parents, care for these needs.
- Advise the Nursery Teacher of any matters requiring attention such as concerns about a child, or equipment needing repair or replacement.
- Attend team meetings where appropriate.
- To ensure the safety of children and adults in the group at all times
- To retain confidentiality of any information regarding the children, their families or other members of staff that you may become aware of through working as nursery assistant.
- Contribute to and implement all nursery policies and procedures.
- To attend child protection/safeguarding courses as necessary
- To be fully knowledgeable on all our policies and procedures at all times.
- To take ownership of coursework and adhere to standards and timescales
About you:

- A high standard of written and spoken English is required; GCSE grade C or above or equivalent
