Description
Accounts Payable Officer duties and responsibilities;

  • Monitoring, checking Purchase Ledger invoices onto system.
  • Ensure all authorised purchase ledger invoices are returned to finance in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of payment runs.
  • Set up and maintain supplier accounts.
  • Provide administration support to the department.
  • Ensuring all supplier bank details held are correct and verified.
  • Manage new starters / leavers plus the maintenance of expense claims.
  • Investigating queries.
  • Posting journals.
  • Supplier account reconciliations.

Profile
Accounts Payable Officer experience and characteristics;

  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role AP or PL role
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable with learning and developing new systems and processes.
  • Computer Literate with sound knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience of all round finance roles would be an advantage.
  • Experience of Sage or Sun accounting packages would be an advantage.
