Field Network Engineer - Oxford/Swindon Region - £33,000 + Company Van

The Company

Our client at Lorien are currently going through significant growth, a relatively new business in the market they have grown significantly over the past twelve months.

Adding impressive clients into their portfolio. Due to this massive growth we need experiencedEngineer's to come onboard and deliver the service to clients.

The Role

You'll be tasked with installing and terminating structured network cabling along with a range of IT equipment which includes monitors, self-order kiosks, drive thru solutions and digital advertising displays.

General day-to-day you'll be field based, attending client sites, planning and implementing cabling across the sites. Supporting all the electronic technology to ensure the customer work effectively.

The Skills
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have a mix of the following:

  • Cable installation/Pulling cables
  • Terminating Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7 cables by a range of manufacturers
  • Patching and testing cables
  • Troubleshooting cable and network related faults
  • Previous experience fault finding various IT equipment such as: EPOS/ POS systems, Kitchen Video Screens, LED/LCD Screens, LED Displays, Audio kit
  • Excellent ability to communicate, proactive attitude and a keen attention to detail
