Main duties of the job


Previous experience of working within a multidisciplinary team would advantageous and you will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of cancer pathways alongside showcasing your motivation and reliability.

You must be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and remain calm under pressure.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Educated to GCSE standard with passes at grade C or above for English and Maths or similar through vocational training.
  • NVQ in Administration Level 3 or equivalent experience.
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience of working within an NHS Trust in an administration role
  • Experience of working and liaising within a multidisciplinary team
Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria

  • Must be able to clearly and accurately convey information both written and verbally to different audiences including patients, GPs, managers, administration colleagues and clinicians
  • Able to participate in, coordinate and manage MDT meetings within an administration capacity
Analytical and Judgement skills

Essential criteria

  • Ability to use initiative and judgement in dealing with non routine enquiries and situations, knowing when to escalate and who to
  • Able to interpret clinical and nonclinical information in order to input accurate information into relevant databases and also to assist with manipulation of the data for audit purposes, etc
  • Experience of managing waiting lists and MDT patients
Planning and organisation skills

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrates excellent organisational/coordination/work prioritisation skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to analyse and manage conflicting demands and prioritise workload.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will run a check against the key security features within your documentation.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
