  • We have a brand-new opportunity for a
    Finance Assistant in the Wakefield office.
  • This is a varied role within the finance team and duties will include managing the fixed assets register, purchase ledger, intercompany reconciliations, providing support with month end processes, VAT returns, stock reporting & controls.
  • We are looking for an individual with previous office experience, a willing and flexible attitude, a curious and inquisitive approach and a keenness to improve and develop current processes.
  • We are willing to train the right person looking on build on their core finance knowledge.
  • Hybrid working (office and home)

Main responsibilities

  • Control of the Fixed asset register
  • Support with Purchase ledger, processing invoices and expense processing.
  • Reconciliation of stock on water (GRNI) balance sheet account
  • Managing Intercompany balances within Sales & Purchase ledger
  • Supporting areas such as: reviewing & process journals relating to gross margins and VAT reporting.
  • Ongoing maintenance of SAP data

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working within a finance department desirable.
  • Good work ethic with attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to take on a variety of financial tasks.
  • Keen to learn and develop.
  • Team player and works collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Forward thinking and keen to improve current processes.
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • SAP knowledge desirable but not essential
