Job Description:


Due to our continued growth we are recruiting a brand new role in one of our digital teams, Graduate Scientific Software Implementation Specialist, 12 month FTC.


Working alongside the Product Manager, Business Analysts and users from our scientific community your role is to understand the business requirements, propose solution design and ultimately configure the system.


Requirements of the role will include reviewing user requirements and translate them into functional specifications, configure the system based on these functional specifications and fllow up and report on the progress of actions.

You will also write or support the write up of test scripts. Initially work as part of the project implementation team and further support the system upon go-live as BAU. Continually strive to improve ELN/LIMS functionality, identify, contribute and evaluate opportunities always with our end customers in mind. Liaise with Abcam Digital and external vendor where necessary to discover and implement new features


Qualifications:

The successful applicant will have knowledge of programming or scripting language working with scientific data (Python, JSP, JavaScript).

Experience in lab informatics software, building SQL queries, web technologies, (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), CSV (Computer Systems Validation) processes, software & configuration management system
is preferred but not essential.

Degree educated
or experience in Biology, Life Science or a Laboratory setting,
