Acorn is currently recruiting for a Production Technician - Scientific Manufacturer based in Wrexham

Main Duties:

  • Cleaning components in preparation for assembly
  • Constructing wiring/mechanical assemblies and completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining work areas and equipment for the purpose of ensuring a safe and organised working environment.

Additional Duties:

  • Assisting other personnel or completing any reasonable task not usually undertaken as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Observing and adhering to Health and Safety rules and procedures.
  • Observing and adhering to quality procedures to satisfy BS EN ISO 90001:2000 requirements.
  • Observing and adhering to all general company rules and policies.
  • Working under direct supervision using standardised procedures; providing information and/or advising others.
  • Nu Instruments reserves the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time according to the needs of Nu Instruments' business.

Requirements:


  • Experience of Electrical/Mechanical assembly
  • Experience of using a wide variety of hand tools including soldering, crimping tools and measuring equipment
  • Soldering to component level
  • Good knowledge of Electrical Safety

Desirable:

  • Ability to read engineering and electronic schematic drawings.
  • Experience of ESD handling precautions
  • Experience with intricate mechanical assembly with a keen eye for detail
