After School Football Coach
Salary:
£15 per hour
Hours: 5 hours per week
Between 3-5pm Monday - Friday
Location:
Onsite: Leeds United Foundation, Elland Road, Leeds LS11 0ES
Offsite:
various locations across West Yorkshire
Reports to:
Senior Women and Girls Officer & Women and Girls Development Officers

The Leeds United Foundation is a non-profit, sports charity that exists to deliver targeted, high-quality programmes that have a real and measurable positive impact on the relationship between the club, its fans and the community.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Welfare of players within the programme
- To work with schools to develop strong partnerships to ensure the programme is sustainable
- Have a confident and enthusiastic approach to delivery
- Ensure engagement numbers are high and sustained throughout the school year.
- Provide high quality coaching and support
- Complete and support administrative duties such as Risk Assessment / Registers / Wellness report every session inline with programme requirements / Health and Safety / Child Protection
- Attend meetings with the project lead
- To adopt principles of continuous personal and professional development with regards to the role
- To build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally, always maintaining a professional image when representing The Leeds United Foundation
- To keep confidential any information gained regarding the Charity, Club, and its personnel
- To always maintain a flexible approach to work
- To maintain the upkeep of all relevant equipment pertaining to the delivery of programmes and to the safety of participants.
- To undertake all other such relevant duties directed by the Senior Management team, which from time to time may be required with respect to the promotion of The Leeds United Foundation.

- To maintain a flexible approach to work.
- To be aware of and abide by all the Leeds United Foundation policies and procedures, in particular Safeguarding and Equality Diversity & Inclusion
Person specification:
- Essential _
- Playmaker / Introduction to coaching
- FA Licensed
- A recognised FA First Aid Qualification
- Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
- An accepted FA Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosure (previously known as an FA CRB Disclosure)
- Experience in coaching girls' football
- Have knowledge and understanding of child development and be sensitive to children's needs
- Willingness to work weekends and training events when required
- Own transport essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently, using your own initiative, and as part of a team.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and safeguarding practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of working with young people

- Understanding of the Leeds United Foundation Girls Pathway
- To have a willingness to use online technologies to support the sharing of advice and guidance online to players
