The Role:

As a Senior Building Technical Support Officer you can make your own powerful contribution.

Joining our Building Controls team, you'll help make sure construction work across our Borough meets our Health and Safety, accessibility and energy standards.

It's a busy, varied challenge, where you'll support and learn from our diverse team of surveyors and fire, structural and building services engineers.

On any day, you could work on a mix of historic landmarks, mixed-use schemes and domestic projects - speaking to external agencies, stakeholders, elected Members, the public and more.

Once you're up to speed, you'll also guide more-junior colleagues, and get involved in broader initiatives, like preparing systems for the legislative changes following Grenfell.

Job Description **for more information.

About You:

As well as a relevant degree, some exposure to building controls and project design teams would be preferred. However, it's your confidence collaborating with a mix of stakeholders that's key.

Used to working with databases and with a sharp head for finance, you'll bring the strength of character to coordinate a wide mix of colleagues and external parties.

This is about helping everyone here - yourself included - to succeed.
