Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)-Edgbaston

I am currently recruiting for a SENCO in one of our primary schools in Edgbaston, Birmingham to start in January to work three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday).


Requirements:


  • Must hold QTS
  • SENCO qualification
  • Experience in liaising with SEN Teams in Local Authorities.
  • Experience in coordinating pupilcentred annual reviews and providing timely reports.
  • Experience in supporting children with
- promoting inclusion.

  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection Procedures, the National Curriculum, Key Stage requirements and Code of Practice for SEND.
  • Be able to offer a calm response to children with ASC and SEMH and always promote deescalation and emotional regulation.
  • Prioritise workload effectively; organised with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with experience in writing and keeping effective records and reports for a range of audiences, using proficient IT skills.
  • Able to support pupils in forming and sustaining effective relationships. Able to promote and celebrate diversity and equal opportunities.

The pay rate will be your MPS (main pay scale) + the TLR rate for a SENCO (Ranges between £110-£180 dependant on experience).
