The role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Linux Systems Administrator to join us within the STEM Technical Services 'Infrastructure Services' team.

Prior knowledge of Linux would be helpful, but is not required, as full training will be given.

The role will ultimately provide primarily Linux-based support for the faculty's server and storage virtualisation estate, networking, backup, and monitoring.


Skills and experience

  • 2 years or more experience in an IT field.
  • An understanding of IT technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems installation, support, and maintenance.
