An exciting opportunity for an
Electrical and Controls Design Engineerto work for a world leader in the supply and lifecycle management of refrigerants and associated products and services.


You'll Prepare DSEAR and ATEX compliant Low-Voltage electrical designs and sub-contract technical packages for the design, construction, and commissioning phases of capital projects at UK/EU sites.

With this in mind you'll Program, configure, and commissionprocess control systems using Rockwell Automation's IDE software and Inductive Automation's Ignition SCADA platform.

It's your responsibility to verify and validate process control systems throughout the phases of capital projects at UK/EU sites.

You will be working as part of a cross-disciplinary EU Engineering Design and Build team located in the UK, supporting localEngineering teams on sites throughout Europe with maintenance of electrical equipment where necessary.


Requirements
Essential

  • HNC/HND or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in delivering engineering projects.
  • Experience in commissioning industrial plant and machinery.
  • Understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Experience of control systems and LV electrical design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Experience of AutoCAD LT/Electrical or similar.
  • Ability to read P&ID drawings.
  • PLC programming experience, preferably Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation.
  • SCADA system design experience, preferably Ignition.
  • Knowledge of the design, configuration, installation, and commissioning of industrial IT communication networks for new and current systems.
  • Able to coordinate and work effectively with external contractors.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
  • Able to anticipate and solve problems related to projects.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English
