What Are We Looking For?

Our Electrical division is looking for an Electrical Lead to join our Cumbernauld office on a permanent basis. You'll be involved in delivering projects across Scotland with a focus on quality throughout all tasks. It will be your responsibility to coordinateand oversee the planning, manpower, materials, on-site works and snagging of electrical projects.

Working alongside testing and maintenance teams within the E&M and Operational department, whilst acting as the liaison between the site and the project teams.


Some of Your Key Duties Include:

  • Co-ordinate electrical site works, acting as liaison between the on-site electrical team and the project management team
  • Review drawings, works information packs and technical data for site raising any relevant queries and ensuring resulting actions are carried out prior to commencement of project where practical
  • Identify Manpower resource requirements and organise with the Electrical Operations Manager
  • Set out expectations with onsite personnel through works information packs etc
  • Check that works are being carried out to timescale and to the required standard/quality
  • Raise electrical issues identified through snagging or nonspec compliance
  • Review fill in and submit RSEQF completion forms in preparation for commissioning activities
  • Carry out competence assessments adhering to the specified timetable as set out by the Company
  • Identify training requirements for electrical staff, completing the required training request documentation for submission to the Electrical Operations Manager
  • Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holder's appropriate skill set
What Do You Need?

  • SJIB certified and graded Electrician (card must be current, qualified to SVQ Level III, SJIB rec.18th Edition Inspection & Testing
  • BS 7671, Approved Health & Safety Assessment).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within the Water Industry, or other heavy industry environments, at supervisory level.
  • Proven onsite experience.
  • Ability to follow, interpret and explain technical instructions.
  • Sound knowledge of Electrical discipline and a good knowledge of Mechanical would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical background.
