If you're passionate about the sea and have a knack for precision engineering this could be for you.

A&P North East includes the largest commercial dry-dock on the East coast of England where our Fitters complete mechanical overhaul, repair, renew or modification of vessel equipment & systems.

So what will you do?

You'll perform maintenance and repairs on various vessels through inspecting, diagnosing and then repairing mechanical and structural issues
Work will include thrusters and blades, rudders, propellers, tail shafts, pumps, compressors, bow / stern doors, ramps and winches
You will transport items through the vessel as required by fleeting using lifting equipment
Assisting in the overhaul, repair, renew or modification of the vessel's main engines, generators compressors and other engineering equipment will be part of the role too

And what are we looking for?

Excellent communication skills
Ability to read technical drawings
Slinging, Fork lift Driving and Mobile Elevating Work Platform experience
Manual Handling capability
