Starting Salary:
£26,790 (starting salary depending on experience)

Location:
Peripatetic with main locations North Lanarkshire & Glasgow


About the role:


As an Engagement and Employability Coach, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with local community organisations, local providers, local authority, DWP and employers.

You will support various programmes, with different requirements, and therefore be able to adapt well to change.

An example of some of these requirements could be, building a caseload of participants, completing initial assessments to identify each individuals support needs and agreeing a personalised support plan.

You may also be required to develop their skills and knowledge by delivering engaging sessions on both soft skills and accredited qualifications based on their individual needs and providing personalised guidance to help them achieve their goals.

You may be required to source work placements for the participants attending the programme to support their development where applicable and be responsible for working each individual supporting them to the best route for their progression into a positive destination.

This may include employment, further education, modern apprenticeship, or progression to a higher stage in the employability pipeline.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a passion for training and supporting those with multiple complex needs, adapting your training methods to meet the diverse needs of individuals.

This is not an exhaustive list; additional duties may be required as deemed necessary by Triage.

Required criteria:


Proven experience in delivering employability skills training or similar programs within a group environment where all individuals have different learning needs and with a dynamic and creative approach.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with participants from diverse backgrounds.

Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate participant's and adapt training strategies to meet individual needs and change mindsets.

Comfortable using instructional technology tools and resources to enhance language instruction and engage learners in digital learning environments.

Ability to evaluate individual progress toward their employment goals, adjusting support strategies as needed.

Experience and a track record of success working in a sales environment, account management or business development role.


Evidence of Employer Services Consultant attributes such as Challenge and Resilience, Flexibility and Adaptability, Honesty and Integrity, Impactful Communication, Planning and Decision Making, Selling, and Influencing and Team Orientation.

Ability to positively challenge others.

Technical skills including good knowledge of the local labour market and knowledge of employment legislation governing recruitment practices.


Very strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, accomplished networking skills, organisational and time management skills with the ability to build professional relationships effectively.

Experience of working in a performance target driven environment.

Driver with access to vehicle and business car insurance.


Desirable criteria:
Training qualification such as PTTLS, Education & Training or CAVASound knowledge of Awarding Body requirements and standards.

Experience creating engaging and interactive lesson plans that align with the individuals' goals, incorporating a variety of teaching materials, resources, and activities.

Experience of working in recruitment, publicly funded services, or other similar sectorsPrevious work with diverse populationsExperience of working with disadvantaged groups including care experienced and multi-needs individuals, with an employability focus.

Other desirable criteria including pre-existing network of employer contacts in the local area; the ability to use qualitative mechanisms to deliver continuous improvement to service delivery; a pro-active 'can-do' attitude; a track record of driving positive change and the ability to work under own initiative and think outside the box.
