Description
Willmott Dixon is currently recruiting for a part time Accounts Cashier, on a 12-month fixed term maternity cover. The role will sit within our finance team based at our head office in Letchworth.


The main purpose of the role is to manage all banking and sales ledger transactions accurately and efficiently and ultimately provide a first-class customer service to our internal customers.

About the Finance Team


The Group Finance Team is responsible for providing centralised finance support to the main board and to the individual LCOs.

The team comprises 65 people across Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Payroll and Sub

  • Contractor Payments teams.

The key responsibilities of the Finance Team are:
Providing timely and accurate monthly Management Reporting

Production of all statutory reporting including biannual Group accounts

Tax and Compliance

Good Partner and Works Partner payments

Treasury and accounts receivable

Payroll

The Project

Key responsibilities / objectives


As an Accounts Cashier your key responsibilities are:
Ensuring compliance with Willmott Dixon Finance Standards.

Upholding all internal financial controls.

Remaining vigilant against fraud.

Accurately creating and posting all bank and cash account entries to the Finance system.

Accurately raising all payments to the supply chain in line with internal approval rules.

Administration of all bank accounts ensuring that mandates are kept up to date.

Ensuring all sales ledger transactions are booked promptly.

Retaining all records in accordance with statute and Willmott Dixon policy.

Attending to queries from the business promptly and in line with customer-care principles.

Keeping the Treasury Manager & Chief Cashier(s) informed of all material team issues.

Desirable:

Excellent time management skills.

Ability to prioritise with a flexible approach.

Previous experience of using a finance system.

AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
