Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant:

Job Title:
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location:
Cambridgeshire


Salary:
£10.65-£11.50 per hour


Job Type:
Full time or Part time (minimum 2 days per week)


Responsibilities:

Work alongside teachers to follow pupils individualized education plans (IEPs)
Provide in-class and one-on-one support to students with special educational needs and disabilities, including helping them to access the curriculum and develop social and communication skills
Use a range of strategies and resources to support student learning, including assistive technology and specialized equipment
Help to create and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the well-being and progress of all students
Monitor and track student progress, and provide regular feedback to teachers


Requirements:

Relevant personal or professional experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities
Knowledge of and experience with different SEN support strategies and techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals
A patient and empathetic approach to working with students with special educational needs and disabilities
Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative when necessary
A relevant qualification such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable)
