About the role:

To provide administration, support and assistance to the Head of Submarine Escape and Rescue, and Submarine Escape and Rescue (SER) Product Line, and assist in the delivery of projects and services.

Your key responsibilities will also include:

Provide admin support to the Submarine Escape and Rescue (SER) management team inclusive of general administration, document management, timesheet management and entry, leave tracking and management, meeting support to assist in the delivery of projects and services to achieve JFD's contractual requirements.
Maintain register of JFD SER personnel "out of country" working movements to ensure JFD compliance with financial tax regulations and assist in responding to a real life emergency.
Manage processing of SERS related procedure and plans (following revision) through JFD's configuration management system to ensure JFD delivers quality products to its customers.
Support Service Managers and Project Managers in the creation of presentations, reports and other standard business documentation outputs to support internal and customer meetings.
Support Service Managers and Project Managers with emerging and ad hoc project requirements, inclusive of shipping materials and export requirements to ensure projects are delivered to JFD's customers.
As a member of the SER team, provide support a real life (Disabled Submarine (DISSUB) emergency by forming part of the JFD base cell. Assist in the resource response and travel requirements to assist in the rescue of submariners.

What do you need?

Essential:

Experience in providing administrative services.
Excellent communication skills, including oral & written.
Excellent PC skills (including all Microsoft Office Applications
Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Would hold existing or be able to obtain SC level clearance.

Desirable:

Familiarity with ERP Systems, Document Control System.
Familiar with international Quality and Safety standards (ISO 9001, 45001 etc.).
Familiar with working to facilities and defence standards (DEFSTAN etc.).
For this role you will need to be a UK resident with a checkable UK work history and able to pass security clearance.
