Description

Opportunity for a science graduate (chemistry, forensic science, chemical engineering) to join a rapidly growing global, financially secure, award-winning business as a graduate internal sales scientist.


Training will take place over two years; the salary will increase as you successfully progress through the training, starting at £25,000, rising to £26,000 after six months, £27,000 after 12 months and to £28,500 after 24 months.

An element of hybrid workingwill be available once you have achieved specific training targets.

The graduate scheme aims to build your knowledge and experience across a range of essential functions within the business over two years:


  • First Year
  • Gaining knowledge and experience across the entire product portfolio
  • Working as part of the sales support team to provide presales technical support to new/potential customers.
  • Participating in prospecting activities and customer outreach to identify new business opportunities.
  • Undertaking regular customer outreach activities to build and maintain customer relationships, gather feedback, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Supporting broader sales activities with the field sales team, product specialists, and global distributors.

Second Year


During the second year, there is the scope to focus in more detail on different elements of the technical sales process, driven by your progress in year one.


  • Regularly shadow an experienced product specialist, working on proofofconcept data for prospective customers.
  • Preparing and proactively following up quotations to both customers and distribution channels
  • Building problemsolving skills, developing your analytical knowledge as you respond to a wide variety of customer requests, and growing your relationship with our customers.
  • Undertaking presales support activities alongside our direct fieldsales team and regional sales managers, including opportunities for onsite customer visits or events.
  • A degree in chemistry, forensic science, chemical engineering or similar.
  • A solid understanding of chromatography.
  • The desire to work in a customer focussed internal sales role and the willingness to travel if required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
