The Opportunity:


Due to internal progression, we are looking for a Risk Consultant to join and significantly impact the daily operation of the business.

The Line 1 (a) Risk team support customer facing colleagues, teams and management to operate safely and with a focus on obtaining the right outcomes for customers.


You'll be:


  • Supporting the delivery of the risk management framework. This includes the support and oversight of incident, breach and control management in the operation and monitoring local compliance with relevant group policies
  • Coordinating and managing priorities when working on a number of varied areas.
  • Delivering accurate advice, action to support and progress timely resolution when things go wrong
  • Ensuring and enabling adequate risk and control management within the customer facing areas whilst maintaining an appropriate audit trail
  • Continuously developing and maintaining technical & regulatory knowledge of the relevant to the Life and Pensions industry
  • Managing and maintaining key internal relationships
  • Proactively identify risks and recommend actions to manage or mitigate these risks.
  • Escalating more complex queries or issues to more senior members of the team with recommendations for resolution.
  • Have financial services operational experience, particularly in a Quality or Risk role
  • Can demonstrate sound knowledge of Risk Management practices
  • Can provide evidence of Stakeholder Management skills
  • Are results focused with a strong work ethic
  • Have proven teamwork experience
  • Possess a strong desire to learn and grow their current skillset
