Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity for a Community Resource Officer to join our friendly and supportive team and make a positive difference to the lives of adults, children and young people.


You'll work with colleagues across Children's and Adult Social Care as well as partners and providers to identify and negotiate suitable placements and home care packages for adults, children and young people.


We offer an excellent benefits package and flexible working arrangements including home working, with the requirement to come into our city centre offices once per week.

Role Responsibilities

  • Source and lead the negotiation of placement fees.
  • Regularly engage with Social Work teams and Providers of care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a vibrant provider market for social care services.
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to provide close monitoring of data and performance information
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Good written and record keeping skills.
  • Educated to Degree level or relevant experience in Adult Social Care or Children's Social Care.
  • Works well under pressure with short deadlines and able to prioritise workloads.
  • Works well as part of a team including collaboratively with other professionals and key agencies but also autonomously.
