The DSC has been established as a function within KBS and brings a holistic management of Supply - across Resourcing, Contingent Labour, and offshore resources.

This is a critical role that will enhance the firm's ability to forecast demand and make commercially considered resource allocations.

In addition to capacity planning & optimisation, the Capacity Planning and Optimisation Lead is responsible for defining - in consultation with DSC Leads and Capability Groups - the Management Information (MI) and Operational Reports that support the effective matching of supply to forecast demand.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Plan, mobilise, and deliver the central capacity planning and optimisation processes both strategic (23 years view) and operational months view)
  • As a SME, work closely with the Empowered programme team to define the capacity planning and optimisation processes and required outputs, utilising technology to standardise process and create efficiency
  • Utilise dashboards and analytics to create a data driven capacity planning environment
  • Deliver holistic data points and insight to the DSC Leads for each Capability group that
- enables demand forecasts to be matched with future supply, across all sources of the workforce (onshore, offshore, KPMG Global Services (KGS), outsourced, subcontractor, etc).

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline process and procedures across demand planning, capacity planning and resource optimisation
  • Work closely with the DSC Leads in each Capability Group to:
  • Execute and implement a standardised process for comparison and measurement of current staffing/contracting methodologies across the UK firm
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to improve staffing levels
  • Support the establishment of a robust control environment and areas for further improvement across the demand drivers
  • Continuously validate business demand drivers into the capacity planning methodologies and processes that will allow for the identification of future needs
  • Work closely with the Talent and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure that the capacity planning & optimisation processes are integrated with the workforce planning processes as
- relevant to the People function (e.g., promotions, internal mobility, etc)

  • Ensure annual plans are aligned to firmwide strategic initiatives to optimise our service delivery model (e.g., Hybrid Working)
  • Collaborate with and own handoffs to other parts of the business to ensure plans are completed accurately and timely, e.g., management of budget/AOP (with Finance), management of current HC (with HR/HOPOs), to monitor HC forecast against (a) budget and (b) supply
  • System owner for tool(s) used to model/define capacity planning needs, ensuring consistent and sustainable processes and technologies are used across capabilities
  • Accountable for ensuring that all the MI and Operational Reports being used across the Supply Chain teams are standardised and industrialised to meet the needs of various stakeholders and operational teams
  • Establish the most efficient and costeffective way to produce the DSC Management Information (MI) and Operational Reporting requirements working closely with the Connected Insight and MI COE teams. This includes maximising the use of offshore capabilities
  • Lead and direct a team of 5.0 FTEs at KGS, prioritising work and ensuring timely delivery of reporting requirements
