Machinist Fitter - Manufacturing - Southampton - £ ph DOE


Are you a Machinist Fitter based in Southampton who is looking for a new challenge? If so, I have the perfect opportunity for you to join a progressive York based industrial engineering and manufacturing organisation.


The company are global leader in fluid engineering, with two centuries of experience developing innovative products and services that drive sustainable progress and are continuously growing with sites situated across UK.


The Machinist Fitter will be responsible for:

  • Operation of large manual machine tools (milling machines, lathes, borers)
  • Machining of items during the repair process or manufactur of new items
  • Reading engineering drawings
  • Usage of measuring equipment

Required experience:


  • Apprentice trained/time served machining qualification
  • Experience of machining small to heavy industrial components from a wide range of industries
  • Experience of working within a heavy engineering/machining background
  • Experience of using large, manual machine tools
  • A strong approach to Health & Safety
