QHSE Lead
Based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire - Brimmond are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic QHSE Lead on a permanent staff basis.


ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the team in ensuring that all company QHSE systems are utilised to their full potential and processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Being the focal point for the investigation of nonconformances, accidents, incidents and nearmisses; establishing root causes and proposing suitable corrective actions to all stakeholders
  • Drive the continued development of the company QMS system including the introduction or improvement of relevant processes, procedures and systems of work
  • Conduct risk assessments as required, with the input of relevant stakeholders
  • Complete COSHH assessments
  • Understand current legislative requirements relating to QHSE, and maintain the Legal Register
  • Prepare monthly QHSE reports, summarising relevant data for presentation to the board
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of the QMS system
  • Implement periodic audits on company supply chain partners
  • Effectively communicate matters relating to safety to all staff
  • Support the ongoing operations of the company by ensuring all tasks are completed in the agreed timeframe and meet internal and external requirements
  • Provide QHSE support across all business functions as required
  • The ability to use own initiative, and to be able to work individually or as part of a team

ABOUT YOU
You will have the following experience, competence, skills & knowledge:


Essential:


  • You must be a driven team player, with an excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for QHSE
  • 5 years or more of experience within a similar role
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar recognised qualification
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines as is necessary
  • Knowledge of UK Legal Register
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external contacts in a professional manner
  • High level of competency in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Works effectively within a team or other work group as appropriate
  • The ability to compile accurate and coherent reports

Preferred:


  • Lead auditor training
  • Internal auditor training
  • Risk assessment and COSHH training
  • Knowledge of legislation and standards relating to hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Previous experience working in an industrial environment, preferably with mechanical and/or hydraulic equipment
