QHSE Lead
Based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire - Brimmond are recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic QHSE Lead on a permanent staff basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Lead the team in ensuring that all company QHSE systems are utilised to their full potential and processes and procedures are adhered to
- Being the focal point for the investigation of nonconformances, accidents, incidents and nearmisses; establishing root causes and proposing suitable corrective actions to all stakeholders
- Drive the continued development of the company QMS system including the introduction or improvement of relevant processes, procedures and systems of work
- Conduct risk assessments as required, with the input of relevant stakeholders
- Complete COSHH assessments
- Understand current legislative requirements relating to QHSE, and maintain the Legal Register
- Prepare monthly QHSE reports, summarising relevant data for presentation to the board
- Conduct periodic internal audits of the QMS system
- Implement periodic audits on company supply chain partners
- Effectively communicate matters relating to safety to all staff
- Support the ongoing operations of the company by ensuring all tasks are completed in the agreed timeframe and meet internal and external requirements
- Provide QHSE support across all business functions as required
- The ability to use own initiative, and to be able to work individually or as part of a team
ABOUT YOU
You will have the following experience, competence, skills & knowledge:
Essential:
- You must be a driven team player, with an excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for QHSE
- 5 years or more of experience within a similar role
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar recognised qualification
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines as is necessary
- Knowledge of UK Legal Register
- Communicates effectively with internal and external contacts in a professional manner
- High level of competency in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Works effectively within a team or other work group as appropriate
- The ability to compile accurate and coherent reports
Preferred:
- Lead auditor training
- Internal auditor training
- Risk assessment and COSHH training
- Knowledge of legislation and standards relating to hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment, preferably with mechanical and/or hydraulic equipment
