We are looking for a
PR Executiveto join our small but busy
PR and Communications team based in Leighton Buzzard.

This exciting role will help in the day-to-day management of the Group's press office function.

You will support with creating and implementing the strategic communications plan by working closelywith the PR Manager and Head of PR & Communications to help develop impactful news stories, campaigns and services whilst enhancing the reputation of our brands.

You will also assist with reactive media enquiries and issues management.

Key responsibilities of the PR Executive:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the Groups press office function with support from the PR Manager.
  • Help manage and develop relationships with key stakeholders to deliver the communications plan ensuring all external messaging is aligned.
  • Support with developing social media strategies with the aim of increasing brand awareness in line with wider corporate strategy.
  • Assist with updating and creating captivating content for the Group on social media sites and on corporate websites.
  • Respond to journalists' requests, arranging interviews and organising press visits to help achieve positive press opportunities and maintain strong relationships.
  • Work alongside the PR & Communications team to maintain corporate charity partnership, including promoting fundraising efforts and opportunities.
  • Support with reactive media inquiries and issues management.

Experience & skills required to be a successful PR Executive:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Someone who is reactive and able to adapt quickly in a busy press office environment, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and manage a challenging workload
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A thorough understanding of the UK media landscape and how it works
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Passionate about PR and communications
  • Proven experience in media relations and press office work
  • Experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of campaign management
