Registration Advisers to join their team in London.

£31,453 (outside London) / £34,395 (London)

The Electoral Commission is the independent body which oversees elections and regulates political finance in the UK. We work to promote public confidence in the democratic process and ensure its integrity.
We are responsible for ensuring that political parties and campaigners in the UK comply with the laws in place to ensure transparency and free and fair elections.
We are also responsible for registering other campaigners at elections, and we maintain the registers of parties and campaigners throughout the year.
Registration Advisers - The Role:
Registration Advisers - Key Responsibilities:
- Providing advice and guidance to stakeholders in relation to the Commission's registration function
- Undertaking the maintenance of the Commission's registers of regulated entities and to create, update and develop the relevant sections of the Commission's websites as required
- Proactively working to identify and resolve developing issues relating to the registration processes, including the conduct of reviews of registration procedures and controls
Registration Advisers - You:
- You will have excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to manage several different tasks, and organise your workload effectively, with mínimal oversight
- You will have experience of resolving queries and relaying information to stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner
- You will have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with stakeholder queries over the phone
- You will have the motivation and ability to familiarise yourself quickly with the relevant law and guidance relating to party and election finance
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE/'O' level standard or equivalent or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience of developing and maintaining good relationships with external stakeholders
- Experience of providing information to the public in a variety of formats
- Proficient level of IT skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
