WHAT TO EXPECT


This role is within the Lids department within Body Engineering reporting to the departmental Chapter Leader with matrix reporting to the Programme Group Leader operating as a Product Owner for the Tailgate and Spoiler Squad on a single vehicle programme with specific responsibility for leading the team in the development of Tailgate, Fixed rear spoiler, Hinges, Interior Trim, Anti-Pinch Mouldings, Rear End Aperture Finishers and the associated Mechanisms to power open/close and latch the tailgate on a new vehicle product that is entering the physical build phase and launch.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


Support the delivery the Commodity System Strategy for the department by leading the delivery of the sub-system system strategy and Bill of Designs onto the programme.

Lead the prioritisation of workload in the squad through the use of Quarterly Business Reviews, Sprints and escalate where required using Impediments to deliver the commodities on time to cost and weight.

Manage the tasks using an Agile approach and creation of JIRA tickets.
Run sprint planning sessions, showcases and retrospectives.
Ensure test planning, results and completion is delivered on-time.
Support the prototype and production builds when required on-site.
Lead cross-functional problem resolution within the squad and support cross-squad problem resolution.
Lead regular programme reviews with Lead Engineers to ensure compliance to requirements and compatibility between components.


WHAT YOU NEED
Experience of design and development of tailgate systems.
Experience in end-to-end development of commodities within an automotive programme delivery environment through to launch.
Product Owner experience or working within a squad.
Experience of using JIRA.
Experience plastic mouldings and mechanisms.
Ability to lead complex problem resolution.
Ability to manipulate/visualise CAD geometry in CATIA V6 within Enovia 3DX.
Previous experience and background automotive closures accompanied with a proven record of successful delivery.
