The role of a Cover Supervisor is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your teaching career
In this position, you will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of secondary class teachers.

You will ensure you are managing student behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures, as well as supporting students in undertaking learning activities across the curriculum.

The ideal Cover Supervisor will:

Be confident managing a classroom and ensure student stay on task.
Ensure planned work is delivered
Create a positive learning environment and provide support to learners.
Communicate well, be adaptable and flexible
Be able to manage large groups of students, some of whom may display challenging behaviour
Be able to work on your own initiative

Requirements:

Educated to Alevel or Degree level is desired
DBS Certificate on the update service or be able to obtain one
Two professional references
