Summary

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to support the delivery of lessons across a variety of curriculum areas during periods of staff absence.

The post holder will work to actively deliver the lesson content set by teaching staff in their absence while also maintaining high standards of classroom behaviour and encouraging student engagement.

On occasions when they are not required to provide cover for lessons, the post holder will assist with the operational management of the school by undertaking additional supervision duties or other administrative tasks.

Applicants will have excellent interpersonal skills, experience of working with children and young people and a flexible approach to their work.

We are looking for an individual who can use their enthusiasm and confidence to support and encourage our students while ensuring appropriate progress and classroom behaviour.

A willingness to support the Christian ethos and extra-curricular life of the school is also essential.

This is a permanent contract and the post holder will work 5.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday during term time, plus 5 INSET days.

The salary paid will be between £17,215 and £19,732 due to the part time, part year nature of the role.

The point at which the post-holder will be paid is dependent on their previous experience.

The school is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all young people and expects all employees to share this commitment.
