About the Role


The Procurement and Supply Chain team are responsible for the processes and materials behind the manufacture and distribution of the goods that THG creates and sells.

The work the team does is critical in ensuring the business is competitive in the market.

Reporting in to the Head of Category/Partnerships Merchandising, you'll be responsible for Range Builds, In season Trading and commercial operation of a category or brand area.


Responsibilities (clearly linked to KPIs):


  • Work with buying to maximise commercial opportunities and minimise areas of risk by regularly reviewing performance and trends and replanning accordingly.
  • Consistently looking up to 3 months out
  • Produce monthly stock and sales budgets for own department
  • Forecast demand planning at sku level where necessary and provide timely and accurate forecasts for the season ahead
  • Effective WSSI management to highlight risks and opportunities in the P&L.
  • Develop and agree activity plans with buying and marketing to achieve sales and profit targets and drive the correct department strategy
  • Robust management of OTB with phased commitment to increase trading flexibility
  • Work in close alignment with buying and supply to develop supplier relationships
  • Analyse supplier delivery performance and work with the buyer and supply to take appropriate action
  • Evaluate customer and market information to enhance and support department planning
  • Good management and development of assistant merchandisers

Requirements:

  • Quickly identifies issues, focusing on solutions.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise well and continually measuring and reviewing progress
  • Good technical knowledge of WSSI, OTB and P&L management
