Business Services Associate - Purchasing Administrator

Full Time - Permanent

We have an opportunity for a Business Services Associate/Administrator to join our team of staff in the Credit Control department in our Business Services Office based in Cheadle.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover the hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. This will be a hybrid role with a mix of working in the office and from home.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • Advanced excel
  • Data management

Duties of this role include:


  • Daily administration of the Catalogue
  • Setting up new items for purchase and maintaining pricing of existing items
  • Setting up new suppliers, completing fraud checks, and maintaining company details to a high level of accuracy
  • Completing IR35 assessments for medical practitioners and contractors
  • Adhoc tasks as and when required
  • Commitment to ensuring quality services are delivered to both internal and external stakeholders through continuous improvement activities.
  • Compliance with all Policies and Procedures relevant to your role, ensuring you are fully aware of your responsibilities within these policies.
  • To demonstrate awareness of regulatory requirements, taking appropriate action to ensure these requirements are implemented and adhered to.
  • To be aware of your responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. To ensure you are aware of your responsibilities, supporting policies and undertake the appropriate level of training for your role.
  • To ensure appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • To undertake specific role related competencies and learning, ensuring 100% compliance of all relevant mandatory training within the required timescales.
