HR ADVISOR - LOGISTICS


We are looking for a
part-time HR Advisor to assist with the smooth running of our Logistics office located at
Magna Park, Leicester.



  • Provide effective administrative support with regards to absence and performance issues
  • Managing low level employee relation cases and assisting with disciplinary investigations and grievance hearings
  • Implement effective onboarding and induction plans which improve the employee experience
  • Administration of new starter paperwork and contracts of employment, ensuring successful onboarding experience
  • Administration of leavers to include communication to the employee and manager, updating the contracts tracker and conducting face to face exit interviews
  • Manage the recruitment and hiring process (liaising with third party agency providers as well as inhouse recruitment team), providing guidance to managers on the process and ensuring best practice
  • Assist in audit processes including the right to work process, ensuring paperwork is validated and recorded in line with the onboarding process
  • Coordinate and manage organisational changes including pay reviews, promotions and family leave
  • Create and prepare HR reports, undertaking indepth analysis and liaising with other HR functions to provide informative data;
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR community to ensure successful resolution of all employee matters.
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks and project work as required
  • Support and coach managers on a wide variety of people related topics and projects including support for engagement activity
  • Support the implementation of the people plan and specific HR projects; such as change management, succession planning and talent management initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with policy, procedures and current legislation;
  • Coordinating payroll and annual engagement survey

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


  • Proven experience of working in a busy HR Advisor role within a distribution environment who is able to work independently, multitask and organise/prioritise workloads to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experienced in managing HRrelated issues including absence management, grievance and disciplinary
  • Well organised with an eye for detail and an ongoing understanding of current HR practice and legal requirements regarding employment law and related topics
