Do you have Fire Safety Advisory experience within the NHS or large organisations?


Reed are urgently seeking an experienced Fire Safety Advisor for an NHS Trust based in Dartford on a temporary basis.


Hours - 3 days per week either 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm

Temp till March/April 2023

Band 7 - £19.52 PAYE or £24.46 UMBRELLA
You will be responsible to deliver the provision of a comprehensive and effective fire safety service across the organisation.


Duties:


  • Ensure there is compliance with all regulatory provisions regarding fire safety in all Trust owned or operated properties.
  • Produce and deliver a fire safety training programme to all staff groups, in order that the Trust comply with Firecode; the types and frequencies will be determined by a training needs analysis.
  • Accountability for the completion of fire risk assessments, fire drills, and fire training, including statistical analysis and reports thereof.
  • Conduct a comprehensive program of fire drills across all Trust occupied premises, including where necessary outside of core hours to ensure all staff are prepared.
  • Conduct fire safety audits when required, including on contractors operating on our premises.

Requirements:

  • Fire Safety Experience with the NHS or large organisations
  • Membership of a professional organisation (e.g. the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or the institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO)
  • Experience in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments, preparing and delivering Fire Safety Training
  • Indepth knowledge of fire safety, fire risk management, fire legislation and training
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hold a current driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business purposes
