An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy department as a Band 4 Patient Pathway Coordinator / Clinical Navigator hybrid role.
The role will involve supporting the clinical team to facilitate robust and effective diagnostic/outpatient pathways.
You will work closely with colleagues in both clinical and non-clinical capacities across the Gastroenterology & Endoscopy Service and beyond.
The Patient Pathway Coordinator / Clinical Navigator hybrid role will be heavily involved in the organisation and effective tracking of all diagnostic cancer pathway patients.
This will include maintaining information on the hospital administration system, processing patient referrals and results, dealing directly with enquiries in person and on the telephone from patients and GPs, liaising with other directorates, and other general administrative duties.
By working closely with a wide range of clinical and managerial staff, and providing a high standard of administrative support, the post holder will ensure that patients receive treatment as soon as possible and that national targets are met.
