ABOUT THE JOB.

As part of this transformation, we have a new and ambitious global Data & Analytics group, which serves as a resource to the business teams in our regions and global functions.

We are currently recruiting a talented individual to join our team in the role of Data Product Owner, with a capability focus on the insights that can be pulled from data.


Reporting to the Director, Data & Analytics, the Data Product Owner is part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that brings together individuals with a wide range of experiences in business and technology.

You'll also be responsible for

  • Conducting requirements analysis with business stakeholders, and communicate technical requirements to the development team
  • Lead the endtoend development of BI reports, including data modelling, dashboard development, feedback iteration, and full automation
  • Support BI adoption efforts through leadership, best practice sharing, and individual consultation across the business
  • Remain current with the latest BI tools, and all related analytics systems that can further McCain's analytical agenda

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

This role focuses on visualizing data across regions and functions and supporting the adoption of new business intelligence tools, You'll have strong business knowledge and knowledge of what's possible from data and digital tools.

You also have

  • Experience working in datadriven environments
  • Competence in Power BI report development, or a proven deep proficiency in similar tools
  • Knowledge of agile methodology
  • Understanding of SQL or any other programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
  • Understanding of how data systems are designed and ability to work with data engineers
  • Ability to connect data to business insights for nontechnical audiences
  • Ability to translate nontechnical business requirements into technical / BI solutions
  • Comfortable working with business stakeholders across a range of experience with data and analytics
  • Able to establish a case for change and "sell" an idea
