Background:


The School's Academic Services team provides administrative support and advice to academic and administrative staff within the School; it also encompasses day-to-day support for the School's degree programmes.

The team is involved in the admissions and recruitment, programme approval process, managing student appeals and complaints, providing expert assessment advice, managing timetabling and examinations issues and is also responsible for data and management information.


Responsibilities:


The Quality Administrator works closely with the School Quality Officer (to whom they report) and the Quality & Student Experience Manager and School Head of Academic Services (with whom this role has a close reporting relationship with) and with other senior School staff, as well as with central Student and Academic Services.

The role covers all educational provision delivered by the School that leads to an academic award/credit of the University (taught, research and partnership provision).

The Quality Administrator has a crucial role in providing and supporting Quality activity within the School:
liaising and advising senior colleagues and developing knowledge and expertise on all matters related to Quality.


The main objective of the role is to provide administrative support to implement the quality procedures within the School, including committee servicing, gathering data on behalf of Board of Studies, and supporting the Quality Officer with the day-to-day administration of the quality processes.


Person Specification:


You will have a good understanding of the role that quality, standards, and enhancement work plays in supporting the achievement of academic excellence and the provision of a high-quality student experience, as well as an ability to work flexibly and within defined timeframes and deadlines.
