Salary: £16,800 pro rata (£28,000 FTE)

What you'll do

  • Maintain all People related documentation and systems; timesheets, absence and leave records, contracts of employment, employee performance documentation.
  • Maintain all People policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations.
  • Support line managers in their People management responsibilities.
  • Support the development of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support the development of company People strategy.
  • Support in the induction of new employees.
  • Manage payroll and expenses with external accountants.
  • Help to organise team social events.

Who we need

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified or working towards or equivalent experience
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Passionate about people and culture.
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in environmental issues.
  • Time management skills; being able to manage and plan your workload.
  • Selfstarter and problem solver.
  • Experience in the engineering sector is desirable.
