Job Summary


We're hiring for a Support Worker at Elm Tree Farm in Stapleton.
We are seeking a Support Worker for our market garden at Elm Tree Farm. The market garden provides services for the people we support, allowing an opportunity for training, employment and wellbeing outcomes.


Outgoing, active and dynamic and with a can-do attitude, you will support the Project Leader to develop this project and provide exciting opportunities for the people we support.

Ideally you will be upbeat, creative, hard-working and have relevant horticulture skills, qualifications and/or experience.

A well organised and tidy workspace is key to the smooth running and health and safety of the market gardens, so skills in this area are essential.


You will be responsible for contributing to the planning of projects and activities which are appropriate for the client group, as well as help to maintain current links and create new relationships within the local food network whilst increasing income from sales of produce, both through our onsite farm shop and to external customers.

The support you provide will be centred around each person's values, preferences and needs.

You will:

Your responsibilities:

Support people with learning disabilities to achieve their desired outcomes.


To work with the people we support to maintain and cultivate seasonal plants and to produce seasonal produce items such as jams and preserves.

Attend supervisions, complete identified training.

Deliver excellent customer service.

To help plan and facilitate activities and events.

Work with the Elm Tree Farm team and community growing networks to identify opportunities for joint working.

To transport the people we support and produce/items for sale to markets and events.

Work with the Project Leader to develop high quality product range.

Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy and well organized.

Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.

About the role


Brandon exists to enable children, young people and adults with a learning disability, autism, or both, to live life in the way they choose.

We provide high-quality, individualised support to around 1,600 people and have a staff team of over 2,000.

Operating across southern England and London, support is provided by a widely dispersed workforce, including public spaces and the homes of the people we support.
