KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The list below is not exhaustive:

To comply with Health and Safety regulations, as laid down by the bakery to ensure the safety of themselves and others
To assist the Trays & Banks Operative with loading and offloading of baskets from vehicles using MHE.
To operate the Basket Wash for the cleaning of bread baskets and ensure these are delivered to bread production
To safely operate equipment such as Fork Lift Trucks and isolate machinery
To ensure that cleaning chemicals are used and maintained
The movement of baskets using correct manual handling techniques
To report all faults of cleaning equipment to the Supply Chain FLM
To complete prestart up checks at the beginning of each working shift
To make an active and positive contribution to the site Logistics Team.
To undertake any necessary training for the post.
To comply with any reasonable request given by a member of the site management team

Metrics / KPIs:

KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS

Essential

Fork Lift Truck licence
Previous machine operation experience
Willingness to undertake and put into practise Health and Safety procedures to comply with legislation.
Good understanding of site Audit requirements
The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.

Desirable

Knowledge of basket wash operations
Relevant qualification to at least basic food hygiene
Food Allergen awareness
Knowledge of COSHH and safety essentials
