Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Driver at the Avonmouth site.

The main purpose of this role is to drive and operate an LGV vehicle in accordance with Dept of Transport regulations, EU drivers hours rules, other statutory regulations and company safety and health requirements.

Within these overriding guidelines deliver (as applicable) bulk and bag products to customers in an efficient, cost effective and professional manner.


Your Responsibilities

  • Working Safely
  • Drive and operate the LGV vehicle in accordance with legislation including the essential daily vehicle safety checks.
  • Unloading and delivering flour sacks from LGV's to customers premises in accordance with company operating procedures (where applicable).
  • Discharge bulk flour in accordance with company operating procedures (where applicable).
  • Assist in training and development of colleagues.
  • Dealing with customers in a professional manner.
  • Communication between vehicle and office when identified as being necessary.
  • Cleaning vehicles (where applicable) at specified intervals and ensuring deliveries are undertaken in a hygienic manner.
  • Completion of paperwork in respect of vehicle defect procedures, Working time, deliveries and safety observation reports.

Your Profile

  • Holder of relevant LGV licence for vehicle driven.
  • Experience and trained in manual handling work.
  • Experience in Customer relations.
  • Knowledge of flour products and food hygiene.
  • Possess Driver Certificate of Professional competence.
  • Numeracy and Literacy skills.
  • Good communication skills.
