About the role:_
I am working on behalf of this wonderful school to find a happy & skilled Teaching assistant to join their friendly team.
The children are polite, happy & engaging and are taught through the curriculum to become resilient and creative learners, who show respect for others and the world around them.
During this role you will be supporting in the classroom, working 1:1 with the children, listening to them read, reading them stories & helping with their spelling.
You will also be involved in making sure they understand the instructions for a task, you will be helping them with numeracy activities.
It is important that you are a TA with good numeracy & literacy Skills.
As part of your role you will be mainly supporting children who have additional needs in their learning, this could be children who have SEN.
You will need to be someone who can be patient & remain calm, you will manage any challenging behaviour in a positive manner.
You will also need excellent written & verbal communication skills, you will be communicating well with the children, helping their speech development.
You will also be working closely with the class Teacher, to help the classroom run smoothly you must report back to them & discuss lesson plans.
As part of the role you will be communicating often with the parents/carers, you will be assisting the teacher to keep track of the children's progress & report this back to parents.
It is one of your responsibility to be aware & look out for any safeguarding concerns, if you are worried about anything you must report it to the designated safeguarding lead.
You will help tidy the equipment away after each activity to help keep the classroom a safe environment for the children.
