An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to work at Chalkhill, Princess Royal Hospital Site as part of the Sussex Partnership Bank Team and based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
The staff who work across these wards are very supportive toward their fellow workers and always provide a caring environment for their service users.
Chalkhill Unit cares for and treats children and young people (aged who are experiencing emotional difficulties, mental health problems and eating disorders.
It is a small bespoke 15 bed unit in Haywards Heath, with a very friendly and supportive team of staff who cater for the needs of all who access their service in a professional and caring manner.
There is a train station which is an approximate 40min walk from the unit but buses stop regularly outside the main entrance to the Princess Royal Hospital.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to be a successful Healthcare Assistant in our team you will:
- Work with the multi-disciplinary team to establish and deliver a therapeutic programme of care for our patients.
- Undertake care duties for patients on the ward.
- Report patients condition to qualified staff
- Document care delivery in patients notes.
- Implement individual patient care plans
- Participate in meetings, training and other work related forums.
- centred experienced Healthcare Assistant with an ability to work in a flexible manner to meet the demands and needs of the service.
The successful applicant would be expected to work as part of the team undertaking the assessment, care and treatment of patients experiencing an acute mental health crisis, working in a recovery-orientated manner towards the ultimate discharge of the patient.
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are a large Mental health trust looking to add Healthcare Assistants to our Flexible Workforce (Bank) Team.
The Sussex Partnership Bank is a dedicated flexible team providing the highest level of healthcare support across all wards and departments.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and provide exceptional support to both our clients/patients and their carers and relatives whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
We will strive to maintain our standards and always improve where we can and you will play an important part in this.

- 19:30, 07:00

- There will be opportunities to work over a 24/7 rota which includes weekend and bank holidays.
- People with a lived experience of mental health issues are strongly encouraged to apply.
It would also be advantageous if you:
- Have experience working within a mental health setting
- NVQ Level 2 in care
