This is a fantastic career opportunity for a welder with at least 2 years' experience in TIG welding within the manufacturing industry to join a large and successful Manufacturer in Aylesbury.
The Company
REED Engineering are currently working with one of our long-standing Engineering clients who are specialists within the design and manufacture of bespoke industrial equipment to various sectors such as Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical and more.
The Role
As TIG Welder Fabricator, you will join a busy production team and will be required to carry out fabrication and TIG welding work to industrial equipment as directed by the Welding Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Carry out TIG welding duties to company products/equipment in the fabrication and welding areas as directed by the Welding Supervisor.
- Ensure that the company's procedures are followed.
- Participate in the quality control process relevant to the work carried out and ensure all defective work is immediately brought to the attention of the Welding Supervisor.
- Carry out MPI/Dye Pen Inspections as required.
- Ensure workmanship is always to the highest standards.
- Carry out and demonstrate 5S culture in your area of work as required.
- To ensure that all work undertaken is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Comply strictly with the company health and safety policy.
Working Hours:
371⁄2 per week - Monday - Friday 10am to 6pm
Person Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years welding experience in the manufacturing industry (ideally industrial)
- TIG welding experience
- Experience with Stainless Steel TIG Welding is essential
- Experience in the following would be advantageous but not essential (Copper, Nickel, Aluminium, & Titanium)
- The ability to read engineering drawings
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude with good attention to detail.
- The ability to: solve problems, work under pressure, prioritise.
- Must be able to work under your own initiative, but also to work as part of a team.
