Description

The duties include seeing inpatient referrals to cardiology, holding the referral phone, and performing ward rounds of the cardiac inpatients on the CCU and step-down ward.

There will be opportunities to train in focused echocardiography and undertake an audit or quality improvement project. There are departmental educational meetings twice a week, and attendance is encouraged.

Consultant supervision to discuss inpatients will be provided daily, and a consultant ward round will take place twice a week.

The job is independent of the medical take, but the post-holder can work bank shifts on the medical on-call rota at weekends if they wish.
