**About teamThe wider FX Operations team** is responsible for supporting the operational life cycle of FX transactions within BNY Mellon both from external clients and internal departments.
The team act as a support and back office function for global FX Tradingto ensure Execution, Confirmation and Settlement of trades in a timely manner.
Your Role
The role is responsible for the management of an operational team that offers custody and non-custody clients alongside third-party asset managers, FX products to meet their FX needs and those of their underlying clients in a variety of markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a small to medium sized Client Processing team that handles any/all aspects of client accounts, including client enquiries, transaction processing and problem resolution
- Provide product knowledge and technical assistance on complex problems. Act as the team's initial point of contact for issues requiring escalation
- Supervise the daily workflow and align resources to ensure all tasks are completed
- Incumbent should have familiarity and experience with FX products, especially those related to custody banking and thirdparty relationships including third party settlements, confirmations, and knowledge of restricted markets
- Succession planning. Deliver education and provide ongoing learning opportunities
- Partner with the Trading desk to provide exceptional levels of service to new and existing clients
- Proactively identify process efficiencies or enhanced controls. Be forward thinking in your mindset
- Participate in the recruitment process
- Prepare performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to staff
- Contribute to the achievement of the wider team and the Manchester site objectives
Preferable Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years relevant work experience with a minimum of 12 years management experience
