The aim of Tate Britain is to increase public awareness, understanding and enjoyment of British art from the 16th century to the present day, and of international modern and contemporary art.
Tate holds the National Collection of British Art from 1500 to the present, Modern and Contemporary International Art from 1900 and the National Archive of British Art from 1900.
The Curatorial Department at Tate Britain is responsible for researching and delivering loan exhibitions, commissioning projects for the contemporary programme, as well as researching and building Tate's British Collection and preparing collection displays.
You will gain unparalleled opportunity to highlight and support both emerging practices and artists that have been under-recognised over the last four decades.
You will also be encouraged to work with colleagues with expertise in modern and historic art towards evolving histories of British art.
Your practical experience, diplomacy and inclusive approach will come together to motivate colleagues and collaborators in the development of the programme, collection and overall vision of Tate.
